Repricing on amazon.com
The US marketplace is the deepest and the most crowded. More competitors per listing means the difference between a repricer that reads the whole offer and one that only reads price shows up faster.
Repricing on amazon.com works on the same principles as any marketplace, with different fees, a different fulfilment network and a different competitive field. SellerFlow treats marketplace, currency, tax rules and time zone as configuration rather than assumptions written into the code, so a US account is set up rather than ported.
What is different about amazon.com
Depth. A listing that has two competitors in a smaller marketplace routinely has eight or twelve here, and they are not interchangeable: some are FBA with next-day delivery, some are seller-fulfilled at four days, some will be out of stock by Thursday.
A repricer that compares prices alone has no way to tell those apart, so it prices against whoever happens to be cheapest — frequently an offer that was never going to take the sale. The more crowded the listing, the more that costs.
Fulfilment is the dominant variable here
On amazon.com the gap between an FBA offer and a seller-fulfilled one is wide enough to change the whole calculation. A seller-fulfilled offer usually has to be meaningfully cheaper to compete with a Prime-eligible one, and an FBA offer can often hold a higher price and still win.
SellerFlow treats fulfilment channel and delivery promise as first-class inputs rather than notes on the side, which is what lets it price up when the advantage is real instead of defaulting to the bottom.
Cost structure is not the same either
US fulfilment fees, size tiers and the economics of shipping a parcel yourself are different from other marketplaces, and they decide whether a product is worth listing at all. SellerFlow computes the profitability of both channels per product so the choice between FBA and self-fulfilment is made on the numbers rather than by habit.
One account, several marketplaces
Selling in more than one marketplace is a normal case here, not an add-on. Each marketplace carries its own currency, tax treatment and local day boundary, so the numbers you compare between them are actually comparable.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use the same repricer for amazon.com and European marketplaces?
You can use the same system, but the settings should not be copied across. Fees, fulfilment costs and delivery expectations differ enough that a minimum price computed for one marketplace is wrong in another. What travels is the method; the numbers underneath are per marketplace.
Do I need a separate account or subscription per marketplace?
Not a separate subscription. The system is built for multi-marketplace and multi-country operation from the design, with each marketplace carrying its own currency, tax rules and time zone. See repricing across Europe for the other side of that. What does need setting up per marketplace is the cost side: fees and fulfilment differ, so the price floor has to be built locally.
Are US fees handled differently from European ones?
They have to be, because they are different fees. The cost floor under a US price is built from that marketplace's own referral and fulfilment fees, not converted from another one. A converted floor is a guess wearing a currency symbol.
